Gifford Collins
Gifford Collins is an attorney with Shaw Legal Services, Ltd. Mr. Collins concentrates his practice on civil litigation, consumer fraud, foreclosure defense, environmental law for small and medium businesses, incorporations, and consumer bankruptcy. Prior to his employment with Shaw Legal Services, Mr. Collins clerked at the law firm of Johns, Flaherty & Collins in La Crosse, Wisconsin and the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 5 in Chicago.While in law school Mr. Collins was very active as the International Law Society Chapter President, a Senior Associate Editor of law review, and a volunteer for environmental and charitable organizations. He supported his international studies by attending the American Bar Association study abroad programs at the University of Toronto and the East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai, China. In undergraduate school he studied business at Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Liege, Belgium.
Mr. Collins received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School; and received his B.S. in Management with an emphasis in International Business Administration from Missouri State University.
Mr. Collins is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
