Russell Tanguay
Russell E. Tanguay, Jr. is an associate attorney with Shaw Legal Services, Ltd. Mr. Tanguay concentrates his practice on civil litigation, consumer bankruptcy, consumer fraud, and foreclosure defense. Prior to joining Shaw Legal Services, Ltd., Mr. Tanguay was a law clerk and litigation paralegal with Foley & Lardner LLP in Chicago.
While in law school, Mr. Tanguay was an active member of the Appellate Moot Court Society and the Publications Editor for the DePaul Business and Commercial Law Journal. He received the distinction of Best Oralist at the Beijing Foreign Studies University IP Moot Court Competition in Beijing, China and also published two articles during his law school career. In his third year, Mr. Tanguay was inducted into The Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization that encourages oral advocacy and brief writing skills through effective law school moot court programs.
Outside of the office, Mr. Tanguay is a twelve-year volunteer with the Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership organization, a leadership development organization for high school students. He serves as a key volunteer in both Illinois and at the international level.
Mr. Tanguay received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law (Chicago) in December 2010; and he received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from The George Washington University (Washington, DC) in May 2006.
Mr. Tanguay is admitted to practice in Illiinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
